Good quality graphics are the fundamental requirements for the decoration of any promotional products.
Whilst JPEG, PDF, .TIF/F and GIF files are great for proofing and as a guide, they pose significant problems when trying the replicate them.* Made up of "bits" these files cannot be used for colour separation and becoming very pixelated or jagged when enlarged.
The art file of preference is 'Vector' based. These have graphics that are created with the use a mathematical algorithm and can be resized without lose of quality. Separating colours is an easy process when using these files.
File types that are Vector based include ".EPS", ".AI" (Adobe Illustrator), ".CDR" (Corel Draw). These must be "native". (i.e. a Jpeg file saved in Corel Draw will not become a vector file)
Ideally, files supplied for decoration should be PC compatible, and should be converted to curves to avoid "font mismatching".
When supplying artwork, please be sure to include the PMS Colour/s (Pantone Matching System) for your logo so that colour accuracy can be achieved.
In the event that quality artwork is not available, PromoDepot has the facility to create, or reproduce artwork as required. Costing will be quoted on request.
